27 Aug 2019 Update
The high inflation rate in Turkey affected the taxi fares. The previous price increase in Istanbul taxi prices was made in 2017. As a result of the meeting held on August 27, 2019 at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME), it was announced that taxi fares in Istanbul was increased by 25 percent on average. The new tariff is effective from Monday 2 September 2019.
